Alicia Seoane

Alicia is a founding partner of the firm. She has played a central role in leading and shaping Carbon’s approach, client service impact, and reputation. Under her leadership, Carbon's focus is on board and senior executive placements across a portfolio of financial services clients, ranging from privately backed growth businesses to FTSE 100 organisations. She works to find talented leaders in P&L leadership and functional roles across all areas of consumer financial services, commercial banking, insurance, and wealth management sectors.

Alicia believes strongly in the impact that personal chemistry between leaders can have in evolving teams and businesses. She places significant weight on assessing the holistic fit between client and candidates throughout the search process.

Alicia is a trusted advisor and source of confidential counsel to many senior executives regarding the shape of leadership teams and their own personal career development. These relationships sometimes span decades, supporting talented leaders as they progress through their executive careers and often on to developing portfolios of non-executive roles.

Alicia has a sustained track record of identifying and placing high potential leaders, including many who have succeeded to Chief Executive Officer roles. Alicia is also a passionate proponent of the benefit of diverse perspectives, and she has led many initiatives to increase wider diversity in recruitment within client organisations including gender, ethnic diversity, and social mobility.

Alicia holds a first-class degree in Management Studies from Brunel University.
